As of Sunday morning, there are currently 121 active wildfires in the province.
Saskatchewan’s Public Safety Agency reports six are contained while 17 are listed as not contained. The number of fires receiving ongoing assessment is 79 while there are 19 that require fire crews to protect property and infrastructure.
Already this year there have been 499 fires which is more than double the five year average of 239.
