The Town of Milestone, with a population of about 700, has won the ParticipACTION award for the most active community in Saskatchewan.
A news release from ParticipACTION says even with social distancing restrictions in place in June, the town was able to get active while staying safe.

One of the activities was a two-week virtual Fun Run, with 73 people taking part.  The Town receives $15,000 for a project that promotes physical activity or sport.  In Saskatchewan, over 15-million physical activity minutes were tracked.

North Grenville, Ontario was named Canada’s Most Active Community, taking home $100,000 to go toward local physical activity and sport initiatives.
