The federal government has started funding anti-racism projects across the country. Ottawa says it targets systemic barriers faced by Indigenous peoples, racialized communities, and religious minorities. $20.4 million is being made available to support 92 projects across the country, addressing barriers to employment, justice, and social participation. Very little of the money will find its way into Saskatchewan.
The Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce will get $170 thousand for a project called the Moose Jaw Economic Inclusion Project. And, the Daughters of Africa Resource Centre in Regina will receive $125 thousand for a project called, “From Awareness to Action: Dialogue on Removing Barriers to Employment.”
