A recent vehicle stop by Prince Albert Police members on patrol led to the seizure of guns, drugs and money.
Officers on routine patrol initiated a stop on a vehicle in the 1100 Block of 15th Avenue West just before midnight on July 18th.
Upon further investigation, police allege locating an axe, a large knife, two air soft pistols and ammunition, various amounts of drugs and drug paraphernalia, and more than $2,000 in cash. Police report seizing just over 125 grams of methamphetamine, MDMA pills, bear spray and a stolen license plate
Two men are facing charges, 37 year-old Shane Kyle Peekeekoot from Ahtahkakoop is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of a dangerous weapon (bear spray).
Kyle Robert Greyeyes, age 42, from Edmonton is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, and breach of court-ordered release conditions.
Both accused have made their first court appearances in relation to these charges. Peekeekoot is scheduled to return to court on August 9, while Greyeyes is next scheduled to appear August 19, 2021.
