Here are the results for Event # 6 at the Wyant Group Raceway.
Results for August 7, 2021 - Wyant Group Raceway - Saskatoon, SK
Such a terrific night for racing and a fantastic crowd at Wyant Group
Raceway Saturday. The night’s feature event was the Western Speed
Association Super Late Models running the Freshco 150. 10 SLM’s started
the race but attrition left eight to finish.
The number 04 of Tim Kammer started the race strong, leading the first
30 laps. Kelly Admiraal took over the lead until a competition caution
slowed the field in lap 40.
Admiraal pitted for adjustments under the caution so had to take the
green from the back of the field. This put Kammer and Matthew Shirley
on the front row for the restart. Shirley jumped into the lead only to
see the caution flag two laps later.
Back under green Matthew took the lead, relinquishing it to Keven Dyck a
couple of laps later. Kevin showed the way around the track until a
competition caution again came out at lap 80.
On the ‘choose your line’ restart, Kevin took the outside row, leaving
Jim Gaunt to slip into the pole position for the restart. Gaunt took
advantage, leading the next five laps when caution flew again.
Kevin took the outside row again, but this time got the jump on Gaunt,
jumping into the lead until caution flew again at lap 99.
This time Dyck picked the inside row, got a good start and led with the
number 10 the rest of the way caution free. The 55 of Jim Gaunt was
second and the 84 of AJ Morrison, tonight under the tutelage of Trent
Seidel, rounded out the top three.
In the heat races, Kelly Admiraal won the first heat and Kevin Dyck the
second. The number 12 of Matthew Shirley qualified in top spot at
14.274 seconds, ahead of Jim Gaunt at 14.283 seconds.
In the Schira Subways Bandolero division, the number 16 of Jayen Ewen
took the 20 lap feature. Tanner Emond and Grayson Jewell won the two
heat races.
For the Shell V-Power Nitro Sportsman Division, Sam Howlett piloted the
number 51 to victory in the feature and first heat race. Neil
Schneider’s #93 took the second heat race.
There was a lot of crashing and banging in the Golf’s Car Wash Street
Stocks tonight. Despite mechanical issues in a heat race, the 37 of
Scott Kozak took the 35 lap feature win. Kohl MacLaggan took the first
heat in the 42, while Scott Barrand piloted the number 1 to the second
heat win.

with the Headrush Tattoo and Apparel Pro Trucks, the Earthworks Sask
