It was a big first day for the Saskatoon EX according to its opening day attendance numbers.
The EX reports 20,972 people entered the gates at Prairieland park on Friday.
So far this weekend the EX saw musical acts the Hunter Brothers and Tom Cochrane hit the mainstage.
The EX continues Sunday before taking two days off, to clean the site and returning for another run from Wednesday until Sunday (August 11th-15th).
Traffic at the EX
The Saskatoon Police Service’s traffic unit is offering some tips for accessing Prairieland Park Sunday.
Police say to expect delays due to roadway repairs at Ruth Street and Lorne Avenue. There is no access to westbound for Ruth Street.
Police recommend using Circle Drive, Idylwyld Drive or St. Henry Avenue, and say to allow yourself extra time to get there.
EX parking can be accessed at Ruth Street and Herman Avenue or off St. Henry Avenue.
Saskatoon Police also recommend people take advantage of the free transit service that is currently being offered for superpass holders to the EX grounds.
