Thanks to information gleaned from the Western Hockey League website, it can be deduced that the Saskatoon Blades have 23 healthy players on their roster.
The “Weekly Report” on the W-H-L website says Brandon Lisowsky has been assigned to the Burnaby Winter Club’s Midget Prep team, fellow centre Eric Florchuk is sidelined week-to-week with an “Upper Body Injury” while Kirby Dach continues to be away at Chicago Blackhawks’ training camp.
Lisowsky had a goal amongst five points in five pre-season games, but the Bridge City Bunch’s first round pick in the 2019 Bantam Draft did not suit up for either game against Prince Albert on the opening weekend of the regular-season. Florchuk was injured in the first period of the Blue and Gold’s opening game Friday in P-A. Dach skated separately from the full Hawks’ roster Tuesday morning, meaning he’s still under concussion protocol.
The Blades host Winnipeg in their only game of the week Friday at 7 o’clock at SaskTel Centre.
