A boy under the age of 16 is dead and RCMP are investigating. Around 11:00 p.m. Saturday, Broadview, Esterhazy and Moosomin RCMP responded to a complaint of an injured person in a vehicle at a business on the Cowessess First Nation. The boy, from Cowessess, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
His family has been notified and police say they will not be releasing his name at this time.

Initial investigation has revealed the boy was transported to that location and sustained injuries elsewhere. There is also a police presence at a residence in Zagime Anishinabek First Nation in Southern Saskatchewan in relation to this incident.
