A busy weekend for the Prince Albert Police Service as they answered 486 calls for service between 5 p.m. Friday and Tuesday morning.
Among the calls were two break and enters, one in which a 24-year-old man was arrested charged following an incident at a business in the 200 block of 15th Street East at about 11:30 Monday night. The second break and enter came just before 2 a.m. Monday at a business in the 200 block of Branion Drive. Police Service Dog Ares was deployed in order to arrest a 20-year-old Prince Albert man. Besides break and enter, he was charged with breach of court-ordered release conditions. In addition, a robbery investigation continues following a Sunday evening incident in the 2600 block of Central Avenue. The victim alleges he was robbed and assaulted at gun point by two men who stole cigarettes before fleeing the area. Police ask that anyone with information about the incident to contact Prince Albert Police or Crime Stoppers. Plus, Police continue to investigate a weapons complaint after a 42-year-old man was transferred to hospital with injuries to his leg after suffering a gunshot wound. Just after 7 p.m. on Sunday, officers were sent to a residence in the 600 block of 13th Street West.
