Green Lake RCMP were dispatched to a report of a shooting at a home in that community on August 1st over the noon hour. Officers say a man was found outside the home with a gunshot wound, and was transported to hospital with serious injuries. There is no update on his condition.

Police located the vehicle the suspect left in and attempted to stop it, but the driver didn’t comply. The vehicle was followed until it pulled over on Highway 55. Police say the driver, Scott Maurice of Saskatoon, is facing charges that include aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent and obstructing a peace officer. The passenger, Marcella Esperanse of Beardy’s & Okemasis Cree Nation, is charged with possession of cocaine and possession of a weapon in a vehicle.
