Saskatoon Police responded to a situation early Monday morning where it was said someone had been assaulted and there was a firearm present. Officers arrived to a hotel in the 2800 block of Lorne Avenue around 4:30 in the morning and found two females at the front entrance who knew each other.
One had injuries from a physical assault and was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries. Police say the other woman had a loaded magazine of ammunition in her pocket and a firearm was seized from her bag.
A 20 year old woman is facing an assault charge along with numerous weapons and firearm charges.
