A 68 year old man suffered a collapsed lung and a head injury in an accident at the Circle Drive East overpass at Highway 11.

The eastbound motorcycle was traveling east in the right lane approaching the cloverleaf interchange with Highway 11 around 5pm. Police report the driver locked up his front brake and laid the bike on its left side. The operator became dislodged from the motorcycle and slid into the left lane.

Investigators indicate rain was a contributing factor in the crash.  At last word, the man was in stable condition.
