The Government of Saskatchewan says it is progressing with its international expansion plans and the establishment of four new trade and investment offices in London, United Kingdom; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Mexico City, and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
Trade and Export Development Minister Jeremy Harrison says, “Over the past several months we have seen significant investments into Saskatchewan and these new offices will help us continue this economic growth and strengthen our international relationships.”
The province has Growth Plan goals that include increasing the value of exports by 50 per cent, growing private capital investment to $16 billion annually by 2030, creating 100,000 new jobs, and growing the number of international markets.
These new offices are in addition to the existing offices in Tokyo; New Delhi; Shanghai and Singapore. They are expected to open in fiscal year 2021-22.
