A 32-year-old Regina man appeared in Provincial Court Monday afternoon facing four charges following a stolen vehicle incident from the wee hours of Monday morning.
At about 3:35 a.m. on August 30th, Regina Police on patrol spotted a Hyundai Elantra speeding through a residential neighbourhood. After a failed attempt at a traffic stop, officers used a spike belt and the vehicle came to a stop on the 1400 block of Elphinstone Street. The vehicle was confirmed to be stolen and found with a passenger still inside, but the driver fled into a house. Upon gaining entry to the residence, police found and arrested Chad Tyson Keewatin in an upstairs bedroom. He was found to have an outstanding warrant and had three additional charges tacked on.
