There were almost as many recoveries as there were new cases, meaning Saskatchewan’s active cases of COVID-19 moved up marginally in the latest update from the provincial government’s novel coronavirus dashboard.
The latest numbers showed 199 new cases along with 195 recoveries, leaving 2,068 active cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan. However, the province did eclipse the 600 mark for total virus-related deaths in Monday’s update after three new fatalities were included, upping the total to 601. Of the 2,068 active cases, 111 people are in hospital with 27 of those infections being treated in an I-C-U. Otherwise, another 722 Saskatchewan residents become full immunized against COVID-19 on Sunday out of 1,173 total shots administered.
