The City of Saskatoon Standing Policy Committee on Finance meets Tuesday afternoon to look over their options for setting the indicative tax rate for the 2022 and 23 budget. This isn’t about setting the property tax rates, its just a starting point in the budgeting process. Right now, a proposed property tax rate of 5.96 per cent for 2022 and 5.42 per cent for ‘23, would keep all City services and service levels the same as what residents have been receiving. The city has solicited input from residents and businesses ahead of today’s meeting.
