The Government of Saskatchewan is providing $225,000 over the next three years to Kids Help Phone. This is an increase of $27,000 per year compared to 2020-21.
The increased funding will be used to promote the phone-line’s e-mental health services to students, staff and families to ensure students have easy access to support when needed.
The service is available in both English and French, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, via phone, text, website and Facebook. Their “Resources Around Me” database allows children and youth to search for resources in the local community, including counsellor and mental health support.
If you or someone you know is in need of support, KHP can be reached by calling 1-800-686-6868, texting 686868 or chatting online at https://kidshelpphone.ca.
