The Government of Saskatchewan’s dashboard on COVID-19 is reporting another 389 cases of the virus in Saskatchewan on Sunday bringing the province’s active case count to 3,119. One more death has been reported in Saskatchewan bringing the death toll of individuals who tested positive for COVID-19 to 611.
Saskatoon continues to have, after another 153 new cases were reported Sunday in the city of bridges, the highest active case count at 966. The north central zone also continues to come in second and has an active case count of 502.
There are 138 people in hospital and 25 of those infections are being treated in an ICU. Since the dashboard was updated Saturday, another 2,489 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered. Thirty days ago, on August 6, 92 new cases were reported.

- The new cases are located in the Far North West (20), Far North East (11), North West (53), North Central (58), North East (9), Saskatoon (153), Central West (14), Central East (10), Regina (20), South West (2), South Central (4) and South East (9) zones and 26 new cases have pending residence information.
- Twenty (20) cases with pending location were assigned to the Far North West (from August 28(1), September 2(1), September 3(1)), Far North Central (from September 3(1)), Far North East (from August 28(6), September 2(1), September 3 (3)), North West (from September 2(1), September 3(1)), North Central (from August 28(1), September 3 (1)) and Saskatoon (from September 2(2)) zones.

- Almost two-fifths (38.3%) of new cases are in the 20 to 39 years of age category.
- About one in seven (14.7%) new cases was fully vaccinated.
- As of September 5ᵗʰ, a total of 138 individuals are hospitalized; including 113 inpatient hospitalizations and 25 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 138 patients, 98 (71.0%) were not fully vaccinated
- One (1) new death reported today. 611 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died with a case fatality rate of 1.1%.
- 1,040,828 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province. As of September 2, 2021, when other provincial and national numbers are available from PHAC, Saskatchewan’s per capita rate was 873,225 tests performed per million population. The national rate of 1,073,052 tests performed per million population.
- The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 318 (26.4 new cases per 100,000).
