The 33 year old man Saskatchewan RCMP were searching for in connection to two people dying from gunshot wounds on the James Smith Cree Nation Sunday night has now been charged. A 37 year old man and 28 year old woman died in the shooting and RCMP say a 44 year old man was also shot, receiving serious but non life threatening injuries. It has been reported by police that the three were known to the suspect.

The SaskAlert system was used to advise the public not to answer doors, stay away from windows and not pick up hitchhikers, then on Monday afternoon around 4, investigators found 33 year old Shawn Moostoos at a Melfort home. He was arrested without incident. His charges include two counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of discharging a firearm with intent to endanger life. He makes his first court appearance Wednesday morning at 10 in Nipawin.
