The Saskatoon Police Service plane identified heat coming from a house in the city’s King George neighbourhood last night and contacted the Saskatoon Fire Department which discovered a fire burning inside. The call came in Tuesday night from the 1100 block of Avenue G South at 11:46 p.m. and the fire was under control by 12:14 a.m. Wednesday morning. The cause of the fire is considered undetermined but it did originate in the basement and the damage estimate is $25,000.
