An early Sunday morning altercation on the Moosomin First Nation resulted in a death that R-C-M-P have determined to be a homicide. Thirty-year-old Catlin Frenchman from the Moosomin First Nation was pronounced dead at a home in the community shortly after 4 a.m. on September 5.
An investigation is underway involving the R-C-M-P Major Crime Unit North with assistance from North Battleford R-C-M-P, Saskatchewan R-C-M-P General Investigation Section, R-C-M-P Police Dog Services, R-C-M-P Forensic Identification Services and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. Anyone with information with regards to the altercation and incident is asked to call North Battleford R-C-M-P or Crime Stoppers.
