Prince Albert Police were called to the 300 block of 20th Street East around 9 o’clock last night to respond to a report of a woman who had been assaulted with a firearm.
In addition, during the incident, officers say one shot was fired however the woman herself wasn’t shot. An 18 year old woman, however, was taken to Prince Albert hospital with serious head injuries.
Police Service Dog Feebee led officers to the 400 block of 23rd Street East where a suspect was arrested and a firearm was retrieved from a nearby garbage bin.
A 20 year old man was in court today facing weapons charges along with aggravated assault and uttering threats.
