The U of Saskatchewan Huskies football team continues practices in advance of the 2021 Canada West Conference season at Griffiths Stadium today. The campaign starts Saturday, September 25th with three games, including the Dogs visiting the Calgary Dinos. The Huskies’ home opener will be Saturday, October 16th against the Alberta Golden Bears. Kick-off time is 2 p.m. at Griffiths Stadium.

(The Saskatoon Blades continue their 2021-22 W-H-L training camp today at SaskTel Centre. A total of 48 players are split into three groups with scrimmage games at 10 and 11:45 a.m., plus 4:30 and 6:15 p.m. The sessions are open to the public with mask-wearing mandatory for all. Camp runs through tomorrow with the Bridge City Bunch getting ready to play their first pre-season game on Friday, September 17th against the Edmonton Oil Kings. Game time is 7 p.m. at SaskTel Centre. The Blue and Gold will open the regular-season on Friday, October 1st at Moose Jaw, then host the Warriors in the Blades’ home opener on Saturday, October 2nd at SaskTel Centre. Game time both nights is 7 p.m.
The Prince Albert Raiders continue their training camp today at the Art Hauser Centre with scrimmage games winding up. P-A will open their pre-season schedule on Friday, September 17th against the Regina. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
