The Sunday update on the government dashboard indicates there were 420 new COVID-19 cases. That is the second time in the last three days the province has seen more than 400 cases and Saskatoon still leads the case count with 146 new cases of COVID-19. There were also three new deaths bringing the provincial total to 621. The three people who died were all over the age of 60.
The new cases are located in the Far North West (7), Far North East (28), North West (46), North Central (65), North East (26), Saskatoon (146), Central West (14), Central East (17), Regina (24), South West (9), South Central (7) and South East (13) zones and 18 new cases have pending residence information.
There are 198 people in hospital across the province with 45 of those infections being treated in an ICU. Last week at this time, there were 138 people in hospital with 20 in the ICU. Of the 198, the province says 154 are not fully vaccinated. The 7-day average of new cases was 369 (30.6 per 100,000 people). The active case count is 3,744.
There were 2,517 vaccines administered. Of those, 1,413 were given to people who have now had both shots and are considered fully vaccinated.
