Just before 2:30 Saturday morning, the Saskatoon Fire Department responded to an apartment fire in the 500 block of Avenue X South.

Once crews arrived, they found the third and fourth floor balconies fully involved in fire. Fire Crews had the blaze under control in an hour.

Witnesses on scene told crews that one male jumped from the third floor balcony prior to crews arriving. He was then taken to hospital by EMS.

A fire investigator has been called to the scene and is working to determine a cause of the fire. No damage estimate is available at this time.
