The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a vehicle rollover just after 9:30 this morning on Highway 14. Fire crews were told the vehicle was lying on its side and one person needed help getting out. The battery cable was cut and a hydraulic cutting tool was used to rescue the person who was then handed over to ambulance services.

The Saskatoon Fire Department was also called out to a garage fire around 9 this morning in the 800 block of Avenue I South. When fire crews arrived they spotted a detached garage with flames showing. The fire was under control in minutes and SaskEnergy was called in after a natural gas meter sustained damage. No one was hurt and a fire investigator is determining the cause, origin and damage estimate of the fire.
