The “hits” keep on nailing the Saskatchewan Roughriders!
The C-F-L has tacked on an additional one game on to defensive end A-C Leonard’s two-game suspension. The additional game to Leonard is for, quote, verbal abuse and unacceptable behaviour towards the doping control officers. Leonard’s initial two-game suspension was for failing to provide a drug sample. He won’t be eligible to rejoin the Green and White until an October 2 visit to Calgary.
The C-F-L also weighed in with some fines from the fighting incident between the Riders and Bombers. Winnipeg running back Andrew Harris was fined for grabbing Green and White defensive back Christian Campbell’s facemask in a reckless and unsafe manner. Bombers offensive lineman Drew Desjarlais was fined for his involvement in instigating the altercation. Plus, Roughriders safety Mike Edem was also fined for a tourist hit on Winnipeg receiver Nic Demski, before Edem was injured.
