The 91st season of the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra will open up Saturday night with a return to a live in-person audience. The first show at TCU Place since March 7th, 2020 will be one brimming with vocal and instrumental performances. Guest conductor, Leslie Dala says from Brizet’s Carman to Bernstein’s Candide, the program is filled with crowd pleasers. SSO Executive Director, Mark Turner says they will be bringing back the livestream option this year. He says it’s been quite successful so far with more than 130 thousand people watching from five different continents. The SSO says safety will be a commitment of theirs this season. Those attending shows at TCU Place and smaller venues including St. John’s Cathedral will be required to wear a mask. A proof of vaccination or negative COVID test will also be required for all musicians, staff, volunteers and for those in attendance. Saturday’s show starts at 7:30 p.m. at TCU Place.
