They’ll play a return exhibition match on Saturday at The Legends Centre in Warman. First face-off is 7 p.m. The Blue and Gold will open the regular-season on Friday, October 1st at Moose Jaw, then host the Warriors in the Blades’ home opener on Saturday, October 2nd at SaskTel Centre. Game time both nights is 7 p.m.

The Canadian Curling Trials Direct-Entry Event continues today and runs through Sunday in Ottawa. Five women’s teams and five men’s teams are competing in a round-robin, plus playoffs format to determine three women’s teams and two men’s teams who will advance to the Tim Horton’s Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, being held November 20th through 28th at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. Among the teams taking part are men’s teams skipped by Colton Flasch of Saskatoon and Matt Dunstone of Regina. Draws today go at 10 a.m., 2 and 6 p.m.
The Canadian Curling Pre-Trials Direct-Entry Event continues today and runs through Sunday in Ottawa. Eight women’s teams and eight men’s teams are competing in a modified triple-knockout plus playoffs format to determine two women’s teams and two men’s teams who will advance to the Canadian Olympic Curling Pre-Trials, being held October 26th through 31st in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. Among the teams taking part are women’s teams skipped by Ashley Howard of Saskatoon and Jessie Hunkin of North Battleford, along with Shaun Meachem of Swift Current. Draws today go at 6 and 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The Canadian Senior Men’s Golf Championship continues today and runs through tomorrow. The 155-man field has been cut to 76 for the final two rounds. That includes three of the eight-man contingent from Saskatchewan…Gary Hallberg of Weyburn, Rick Hillestad of Saskatoon and Martin Ring of Prince Albert. Today is the third of four rounds.
