Prince Albert RCMP say they were alerted to a deceased person in the water around 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

With assistance from the Prince Albert Fire Department human remains were removed from the North Saskatchewan River near the Cecil Ferry.

The identity of the individual has not been confirmed and an autopsy will take place. Prince Albert RCMP, working with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service, continue to investigate.
