The Canadian Curling Trials Direct-Entry Event continues today and runs through tomorrow in Ottawa. Five women’s teams and five men’s teams are competing in a round-robin, plus playoffs format to determine three women’s teams and two men’s teams who will advance to the Tim Horton’s Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, being held November 20th through 28th at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. Among the teams taking part are men’s teams skipped by Colton Flasch of Saskatoon and Matt Dunstone of Regina. Draws today go at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Eight women’s teams and eight men’s teams are competing in a modified triple-knockout plus playoffs format to determine two women’s teams and two men’s teams who will advance to the Canadian Olympic Curling Pre-Trials, being held October 26th through 31st in Liverpool, Nova Scotia.
