The Saskatchewan Roughriders were back on the Mosaic Stadium turf Tuesday, preparing to visit Calgary on Saturday evening.
It appears as though receiver Shaq Evans could return after the Riders bye week in mid-October. Evans was out catching some passes off the “Jugs” machine Tuesday. He hasn’t played since injured his left foot in Week 2 against Hamilton. Head coach Craig Dickenson said Evans is still a few weeks away from being able to go. Meanwhile, defensive end A-C Leonard was working with the first team. His three-game suspension is over. Also, offensive tackle Andrew Lauderdale was out on the field. He missed the B-C game with an ankle injury. Dickenson added that defensive backs Nick Marshall and Loucheiz Purifoy were given the day off.
