A 19 year-old Regina man is facing a number of charges following a robbery in that city Friday morning. Around 9:30, officers responded to the 1100 block of Angus Street for a report indicating that a male was trying to break into multiple vehicles. Once officers arrived on scene, they saw the man allegedly assault a cab driver before stealing the cab and driving away. A vehicle stop by police was unsuccessful, although a short time later the cab crashed into a fence and the suspect fled on foot. A foot chase eventually resulted in police arresting the the suspect. Desmond Key faces a number of charges including Robbery and Flight from Police Officer.
