There is a wintery mix of weather this morning for parts of southern and central Saskatchewan. A Colorado low tracking through the eastern Prairies has brought much needed moisture to the province.
Environment Canada says parts of the province, particularly the Saskatoon to Regina corridor, have seen this fall as rain, snow, or a mix of the two. Combined with near freezing temperatures, there may be areas of poor travel conditions this morning across the region.
A rise in temperatures today will see most of snow melt through the day, with a return to double digit highs expected on Friday.
Poor air quality and reduced visibility in smoke continues to be reported and downwind of the wildfires north of Hudson Bay.
A special air quality statement applies to Hudson Bay, Porcupine Plain, the City of Prince Albert, Birch Hills, Duck Lake, Leask, Candle Lake, Shellbrook, Spiritwood, St. Louis and surrounding areas. As of this morning there are 19 active fires and three are not contained including the Bell fire near Hudson Bay.
