A 17 year old boy who pleaded guilty to sexual assault has been sentenced to 30 months of custody and supervision. On June 8th, Saskatoon Police were called to the Royal University Hospital where a 15 year old girl was being treated. She told officers she was picked up from her home around midnight and taken to a location along the riverbank where she was encouraged to drink alcohol and then was sexually assaulted by two males and left there.
In connection to this case, 23 year old Mohammad Kouman is charged with sexual assault, voyeurism and making and possessing child pornography. In a news release after the two were arrested in June, the Saskatoon Police Service said investigators believe there may be other girls or women in the community who have been victimized in a similar way, and they are asked to contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
