As expected, Saskatchewan N-D-P leader Ryan Meili isn’t impressed with the province announcing the transfer of six I-C-U patients to Ontario.
While expressing thoughts to the families of the I-C-U patients being sent out of the province, Meili accused the Sask Party government of failing to support the health system. In a statement, Meili said, “Unfortunately, due to lack of planning and unwillingness to put patients and the people of this province first, our only option is to send patients across the country to receive care. It’s unacceptable.” Meili added that it was an avoidable situation, accusing Premier Scott Moe of putting politics ahead of people’s lives.
