Nipawin RCMP responded to a report of a gun shot near 5th Street West early Friday morning, and when officers arrived, a woman was found with gunshot wounds. She was transported to hospital with what are described as serious injuries. The police investigation suggests a man and woman were forced from a home and the woman was shot. The man wasn’t injured.

A 26 year old man and a 16 year old girl were arrested. Oscar Young’s charges include aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent and possession of a firearm while prohibited. The teen is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon.
