The Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency says no COVID-19 CU patients were transferred to Ontario Thursday but there will potentially be three more transfers through till Sunday.
The Provincial Emergency Operations Centre is coordinating with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Ontario Critical Care Command Centre on these transfers.
It’s expected one patient will be transferred each day Friday through Sunday, which would make nine transfers in total for the week.
The PEOC says transfers are contingent on several factors such as ICU capacity, clinical assessments of the patients, severe weather and other unforeseen events, so the final numbers may change.
