WestJet has announced that effective October 30th, the WestJet Group will be operating as a fully vaccinated airline. A news release from the Calgary-based company says Phase One will run from October 30th to November 29th. During this phase, passengers must be able to provide proof of vaccination or proof of a valid PCR test to travel. After November 29th, Phase Two will begin with proof of vaccination required for those 12 and older in order to fly with the airliner. The measures are in-line with the federal government’s mandate. Vaccines will also be mandatory for WestJet staff.
