The Saskatoon Fire Department says they assisted a person in need who was in the South Saskatchewan River near River Landing this morning (sat). A news release from the fire department says the incident happened around 8 o’clock with a Saskatoon Fire Department technician entering the water to help the female get out of the river. The person was then taken into the care of police and EMS personnel. No other details are available at this time.
