The President of the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour was re-elected during the SFL’s convention on Friday.
In a news release, the SFL says since being elected in 2018 Lori Johb has made occupational health and safety one of her top priorities, successfully lobbying the government to create a fatalities and injury strategy to reduce the number of workers who are killed or injured on the job, and over the past year-and-a-half, she has fought to ensure the safety of workers during the pandemic.
The SFL passed resolutions at its convention condemning the Sask Party government for what the Federation believes is a mishandling of the pandemic, and is also demanding the resignation of the Health Minister.
