Saskatoon Public Schools says they have passed a procedure that will require employees to be fully vaccinated or provide regular negative COVID-19 tests.
From now until the 15th of November, all staff within the division are required to declare whether or or not if they are vaccinated.
Supervisors will then meet with school board employees who have identified themselves as fully vaccinated to confirm their status.
The new procedure will apply to all of those who work with the schools and work in them including parents and caregivers, temporary and substitute teachers, contractors working in buildings during school and office hours guest speakers and presenters.
Students are not included in the vaccination requirement along with caregivers who are picking up students, spectators at extracurricular activities and those who are renting rooms after school hours.
