The Saskatchewan School Boards Association says that during public hearings earlier this year, they consistently heard about the importance of connections for education. A report prepared for the Minister of Education lays out the need to enhance and expand connections among people and relationships, connections between systems and structures, and connections to the future and navigating technology. Within each of these categories, the SSBA has made several recommendations including creating a welcoming environment within schools, creating an advisory panel on the delivery of student supports, and renewing graduation requirements and creating more diverse pathways and opportunities for students to graduate.
