Saskatoon Police have arrested a man following an incident in which bear spray was used at a home on city’s west side early Thursday morning.
Around 2:15 a.m., officers were called to a home in the 3200 block of 33rd Street West for a report that bear sprayed had been used inside.
Once police arrived, they found five people inside including two children suffering from the effects of bear spray.
Officers then found out that a 23 year-old woman had been physically assaulted by a 20 year-old man who then bear sprayed the home.
The suspect was then arrested after he was found trying to leave the area in a cab.
The victims and the suspects are believed to be known to each other. The 20 year-old faces four Charges of Assault with a Weapon and one count of Assault.
