Total revenue in The Government of Saskatchewan’s General Revenue Fund was less in the last fiscal year, than it was for 2019/2020. The government has released its detailed revenue and expense information today, for the fiscal year that ended March 31st.
The province is reporting just over $11.97-billion in revenue as compared to $12.89-billion in the previous year, however transfers from the federal government increased during the same time period. The federal government gave the province just under $2.22 billion in 2019/20 and just over $2.74-billion in 2020/21.
Revenue from taxes is lower by almost $634-million. The most significant decrease was Crown Corporation income from taxes, down by over $347.3-million.
