The Home Hardware Canadian Curling Pre-Trials continue and wrap up today in Liverpool, Nova Scotia. It’s playoff time as both the women’s and men’s divisions are down to six teams alive for two spots each into the Tim Horton’s Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, being held November 20th through 29th at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon. The only Saskatchewan foursome still alive is Sherry Anderson’s Martensville quartet.

The America’s Zone Challenge Men’s Curling Playdown continues and wraps up today in Lacombe, Alberta. Three countries are competing for the second and final berth into the World Men’s Curling Championship next April in Las Vegas…Canada, Mexico and Brazil. Canada is represented by the Brendan Bottcher foursome from Edmonton. The three nations will play a double round-robin. The team with the best record at the conclusion of the double round-robin will advance to the worlds, April 2nd through 10th.
