It’s my Parting Shot for some Weekend Short Shots…..

I had to bypass watching T-S-N Sportscentre this morning, as is my daily custom again since changing cable service providers from Shaw to SaskTel Max…and getting an awesome deal, thank you. I had to bypass morning T-V to get my game prep done for the Blades at Prince Albert tonight, but I digress. Upon checking the N-H-L standings, I was pleased to see my Winnipeg Jets are tied for second in the Central Division and even more pleased to see the Montreal Canadiens lost, again, last night and are last in the Atlantic Division and third-last league-wide! Can you say, and it turned out nice again?! I know I’ve got some bad days coming after that, but for now I’m happy!

What I need to start remembering to do is recording games I want to watch…like tonight’s Riders at Edmonton contest. That was another casualty of doing game prep from home this morning before coming to work! Honey…can you record the game for me?!

And, in my mind, the Toronto Blue Jays need to make three key free agent signings this off-season…plus insure they have some bullpen arms! Re-sign ace lefty pitcher Robbie Ray and second baseman Marcus Semien…not necessarily in that order of importance…and make an effort to sign Freddie Freeman from the World Series-champion Atlanta Braves! Freeman has Canadian background, can still play effectively…both in the field at first base and from the left side of the plate as a hitter! What about Vladimir Guerrero Junior, you ask?! While one plays first, the other D-Hs and Freeman helps Vladdy with his first base defence. Or, plug the hole at third base by putting Guerrero back at his original position…and work with him on his defence there!
