A 53 year old inmate at the Prince Albert Correctional Centre has died. The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety says he was found unresponsive in his cell just before 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Corrections staff called EMS and began life-saving measures.
The Prince Albert Police Service and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service are investigating and the Ministry will also conduct an internal investigation. The death isn’t related to COVID-19 and no foul play is suspected at this time.
