A 34 year old Moose Jaw man who pleaded guilty to manslaughter due to intoxication in the death of his mother has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
In July of 2019, Saskatoon Police officers conducted a welfare check at an apartment in the 200 block of Avenue V South and found 52 year old Noreen Moore dead.
Her son, Trent Moore was arrested 12 days later in coordination with the Moose Jaw Police Service.
He was originally charged with 2nd degree murder and then pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
