Design can cover the worlds of architecture, landscape architecture, interior and graphic design and a non-profit organization is highlighting them all this week for Saskatchewan Design Week. Spokesperson for the Design Council of Saskatchewan, Megan Krueger, says it’s a chance for the public to see all the different aspects of design and what professionals in the field do. She suggests it’s a great way for those who may be interested in a career to see what it’s all about.
Because of COVID-19, there are virtual and in-person events including lunch-and-learns, tours of design spaces, and free lectures. For the first time, Design Week will include a Window Gallery in Downtown Saskatoon. Krueger says it’s a partnership between designers and downtown businesses to use their window front to design displays. She encourages everyone to take a walk downtown this week to check out the displays.
